Heroine
Preliminary character sketch of my first superhero creation. A sneak peek to my next not-so-serious yet BIG project. Yes, big! Not because it's a heavy budget production but it requires effort and dedication in order to be successful and recognized globally!
This unconventional heroine's skills were
established out of the demands of a typical office worker and were generated to
resolve its usual yet petty complaints (which gives you a hint about the
story's conflict and the circulation of the plot). Final options for the name
is still under careful selection to ensure its appropriateness to the character
itself and its audience appeal.
For now it will serve somehow as a teaser only. I certainly hope that you are tingled because my next post will be orgasmic! As this Heroine's indentity(including her name of course) and her Character Background shall be unfold!

My Art for this Season

Christmas. The day widely accepted as the birth of Mankind's Redeemer.
It made me think. For this one special day, can the Demons and the Holy ones unite?
Is the Lord of Darkness invited in this most glorious celebration?
I am also quite radical with the darklord's appearance because it is always associated with grotesque physical form. Does he even need a form? Is his form conceivable as well as his wickedness?
Most of the time our worst enemies are not even tangible. It is usually in abstract form. A phantom, an apparition which led us to misconduct and fault.

Gene Pomelo Tees Series: Messiah

Postmodernist/avant-garde rendition of the
religious icons "Sacred Heart" and "Poong Nazareno"
inspired by the Catholic theological traditions.
Pretty cool if the crowd altogether wear this as uniform in their parade

VCO+Guava

As a Product Line, instead of designing each product individually, I have decided to design it collectively to make the products identical. Basically, I based my design on the variant itself which is coconut and guava. Most dominant colors are shades of brown and green, it represents being organic and the colors from the two fruits where the main substance are extracted. Colors and Vector art ornaments are minimal in order to look more natural. The unusual shape of the labels make it eye-catching and breaks away from conventional beauty product with VCO variant. Captions didn't use fancy fonts to maintain its natural appearance. Font colors are consistent with the main shades of coconut and guava.

Obake
Another piece from my mini-animation series.
Inspired from Japanese myth and folklore, Obake is a preternatural creature which unlike the supernatural, its existence is presumed to have rational explanations. Literally means as "a thing that changes", it is believed to be one of the temporary transformations of a deceased person. Its capabilities were beyond humans but still finite and lesser than the Divine.Popularly being portrayed as a one-eyed ghost, carrying a lantern as its comical depiction, this gruesome superstitious character became easily acceptable and eye-catching to people especially children.

Detective Conan Fan Art

'Been a fan of this amazing whiz kid who does not let tricky criminals escaped easily and is never deceived by their well executed murders.
I have found also Gosho Aoyama's(author and illustrator of Detective Conan) character's sketch quite unique and deviated among most mangakas' art style during his time.
These are just the reasons which gave me drive for this creative output.

APRUB!

Trying out first on brush styles and strokes.
A hybrid of Vincent van Gogh's Expressionism and Hanna Barbera cartoon style.
As the image itself tells, thumbs up!

Nosebleed

Excessive nose bleeding. "Hindi na kinaya ng tissue kaya ginamitan na ng napkin."
My first attempt on illustration using fundamental shapes inspired by Japanese chibi style. Dumugo yung ilong ko nung ginagawa ko 'to.

Avant-Garde Nazarenus

My newest masterpiece.
How about spicing up the old tradition by adding up a contemporary flavor.
Introducing.. the Black Nazarene in 3D!
Just imagining the enormous crowd wearing 3D glasses whilst performing the procession is way too cooler! Awesome!
